Nearly 70,000 steps, 3,500m of climbing, 25 hours and three mountains later, our team completed their biggest challenge to date.
Managing Director, Martin Jackson, and Account Director, Claire Murgatroyd, absolutely smashed the three peaks on 5th August, managing to complete in just one hour outside of the 24-hour target, after contending with heavy traffic between peaks and very poor visibility on the mountains.
The team took on the challenge to help one of MTJA’s design partners, Double D Creative raise money for The Joshua Tree, as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations. The Cheshire charity supports the families of children suffering with cancer, trying to ensure that life can remain as normal as possible, during what is a tragic time for everyone involved.
Incredibly, the total amount raised is currently standing at just over £8,000, coming from around 250 supporters, and the donations are still coming in.
There’s no doubt that it was a challenge for Martin and Claire but all for a very worthy cause. Claire said: “It was definitely a lot tougher than I anticipated but I’m very proud of us all, we have raised an amazing amount of money for a fantastic charity. It was a brilliant experience, and certainly very rewarding…and exhausting!”
