Grace Foods had a very special visitor this month, when Jamaican Olympic and World 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce stopped by to host a Q&A session with local schoolchildren.
The session was held at Grace House in Welwyn Garden City, where Shelly-Ann chatted with children from Cranborne Primary School, Watchlytes Primary School and Springmead Primary School, as they quizzed her on everything from her favourite food to how often she trains and her favourite super hero!
The children were also given an insight into how the female sprinter prepares for races, and even received a demonstration of how she gets ready for the starter gun.
MTJA was on hand to manage the festivities and media attendance, and everyone enjoyed a delicious spread of Caribbean delights.
Shelly-Ann said: “It was great to meet the children and to share with them what it takes if you want to be the best in your field, in whatever you choose to do, and how important it is to have self-belief.”
Grace Foods UK Brand Manager, Giuseppe Vullo, said they were ‘thrilled’ to host a visit from the reigning World and Olympic 100m champion, adding that the children enjoyed an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.
