MTJA hits headlines with Caribbean Food Week

MTJA has been spreading the word about the second Caribbean Food Week, which takes place on August 19 – 25 2013.

Organised by Grace Foods UK, the UK’s number 1 supplier of Caribbean food, the week aims to raise awareness of Caribbean ingredients and encourage people to try new recipes at home.

MTJA launched the event with a media briefing event at IPC Media in London, home to a wide range of consumer magazines including Essentials, Woman & Home, Marie Claire, Chat and Pick Me Up.

And the event has certainly paid off. Already Caribbean Food Week has been featured in high profile consumer magazines including Olive, Essentials and Eat In, complete with Grace Foods UK recipes. These titles have a combined readership of 670,905.

We’ve also had a fantastic response to Caribbean Food Week on social media. Via Twitter engagement prior to the IPC event, we discovered that Natalie Edwards, Showbiz Editor for the Sunday Mirror, loves Caribbean food. After the event we dropped into her office with a hamper of food – which she tweeted to her 7,680 followers!

There will be plenty more activity and coverage to follow – watch this space!
