MTJA is championing the benefits of buying local after being appointed by Enterprise Foods.
Enterprise bridges the gap between great local suppliers and national retail customers, working across numerous food and drink categories including craft bakery, alcohol, dairy, snacks and confectionery.
MTJA will be working with Enterprise to heighten brand awareness and to help connect suppliers with retailers. The communications programme will include trade media relations, supplier relations, social media management and website support.
Martin Jackson, MTJA Managing Director, says: “Provenance is really high on the shopper agenda. With more consumers looking to support local producers, Enterprise Foods offers the perfect solution for retailers looking to cater for this demand.
“We’re really excited to be working with them during what we’re sure will be a period of growth and development for the business.”
In 2017, Enterprise opened a new distribution hub in Manchester, streamlining an efficient route to market for local suppliers and providing additional storage capacity. The company now boasts a supplier base of over 400 and delivers more than 17,000 different lines to retail and foodservice customers all over the UK.
