Brands turn out for Pro-Retail 2017

The retail community was out in force in May for one of the biggest events in the retail calendar; Pro-retail 2017.

 

Run by Palmer & Harvey, the annual trade show sees brands from across the sector come together under one roof to give customers the low down on what they should be stocking, including bestsellers and the latest innovations.

 

MTJA was in attendance, visiting clients including Kepak Convenience Foods, AG Barr and Republic Technologies, who all took stands at this year’s event, and were on hand to give best practice advice and guidance.

 

Here are just a few of the highlights from Pro-retail 2017:

 

REPUBLIC TECHNOLOGIES

Showcasing its product portfolio of bestselling tobacco accessories brands including Swan filters and ZIG-ZAG rolling papers, Republic Technologies were in attendance, educating retailers on the benefits of stocking a broad range of accessories to signpost the tobacco category in-store. Also on display was the Swan tubing machine, new to market, and designed to streamline the rolling process and tap into demand from cash-conscious consumers looking for a quality alternative to ready-made cigarettes.

 

 

AG BARR

Soft drinks specialist AG Barr showcased its latest NPD at Pro-retail with IRN-BRU XTRA, the first permanent new product from IRN-BRU in 35 years, full of extra IRN-BRU taste with zero sugar.

Launched in England and Wales earlier this year following a successful launch in Scotland, IRN-BRU XTRA is growing, and AG Barr was on hand to educate retailers on this must-stock product. Visitors could also enjoy samples of Rubicon Spring; the low-calorie soft drink combining sparkling spring water with fruit juice.

 

KEPAK CONVENIENCE FOODS

Following the recent launch of Rustlers Gourmet, a ‘Gourmet’ flame-grilled 100% beef burger in a brioche bun, Kepak were on hand to offer samples of Gourmet to hungry visitors, as well as best practice advice for making the most of convenient ready meals in-store.

Awareness of Rustlers is at an all-time high following a major TV advertising burst and dedicated social media activity, generating high levels of engagement for the brand.
